What's not to love about this place?
Gorgeous scenery. As you depart from the highway, herds of deer line the road to the ranch.
The rustic barns and horse filled pasture has the feel of visiting friends. Horses, goats and dogs meander past the large doors of the barn that serves as the tasting room.
And, if you've come for the cider, it will exceed your expectations. That is, unless you're a fan of the sweet commercial liquids they pass off as "cider". This is cider as it was originally intended! Natural ingredients with apples, pears and plums actually grown in Julian. They let the fruit speak for itself added only sweeteners such as mead where needed.
Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff take the time to tailor your flight to your particular taste.
Personal favs include Shinseiki pear, Santa Rosa and Harmon pear.
